The thing that I have learned throughout my life, is to learn from my mistakes. I used to constantly push the things that I have done wrong out of my mind, because they seemed like such bad memories. I learned to utilise those mistakes and use the things I have done wrong to make me a better person in the future.
In contrast to what adults think, I do not particularly believe that them telling us that something is wrong is gonna keep us from doing what we want to do. What teaches us right from wrong is our actions and punishments. When we do something and there is not..an ideal outcome, we learn that doing something dumb was probably not the best idea.I remember when I was younger my family and I went on a vacation to Drummond Island. I kept throwing rocks as high as I could into the fog above me and running away before they came down and my mom kept yelling at me “You’re going to hurt yourself! Stop throwing those rocks!”. Well of course I didn’t listen to her! I was having so much fun! I was scavenging around for the best rock, and threw the biggest rock I could find in the air. “Where did it go?” I asked myself, as it had disappeared in the fog. Before I knew it, the rock came back down, hit me on the head and knocked me out. I woke up 4 hours later back at the cabin we were staying at and had to go to the closest hospital to get a CT scan to make sure I didn’t have a concussion.

After that, I never threw a rock in the air again because now I know what could be the possible punishment or outcome of my stupidity. Now I know that sometimes my mom is right and that maybe I could listen to her from time to time. Before you do anything, always think of the possible outcome. In reality you probably won’t but you will learn from the possible consequence.
