The first time I did my driving test at Mr. R's I did not pass. I was all pumped and ready to take this test, so I could be free to drive to wherever I wanted. I got a little cocky and thought that I had practiced enough. I pulled up to Mr. R's and was so excited, because in an hour I would have my drivers license! Once we pulled up to the parking and all the lines were everywhere, I started freaking out. How was I going to do all of this?! I made it through pulling up to the parking line and backing into a parking space, but then the time came when I would have to face the dreadful parallel parking.
I pulled up in front of the space, but didn't have a good starting spot so I was done for. I tried and I tried and got way too many points and failed my driving test. I learned that if I had the right starting spot, farther in front of the space then I had started out, I could have just cranked the wheel as far as it would go and whipped my car into the space. On the weekends I kept going back to Mr. R's and practiced getting a good starting spot to where I could successfully back in and straighten myself out in the spot. I can parallel park in a practice parking spot now! To save you all from my questionable driving, I'll make sure to not parallel park for real!
