What they did is they put the mask that puffs out laughing gas on my face. I started getting really numb and didn't even care that he was shoving a needle into my skin. I just kept laughing hysterically. I tried to keep a conversation, because I thought that it was not polite to just sit there and laugh, but mid way through what I was saying I passed out.
When I woke up I heard a drilling sound and a lot of tapping in my mouth. They were still pulling my wisdom teeth! I passed out again and when I woke up I was in my own little world. The surgeon gave me 2 ice packs to ice my cheeks with, because my cheeks were as big as balloons.
Through this I learned the best way to take care of yourself after you get your wisdom teeth pulled is to get a lot of sleep and eat soft foods like soups and mac and cheese. If you chew for the first few days after the surgery your teeth feel like they are being ripped out, so I wouldn't recommend doing that. Also, try to drink a lot of fluids. Wash your mouth out as much as possible and clean every inch to avoid nasty dry pockets. Here is a site that will show you how to prevent getting dry sockets.
